Yes, you heard it right. It’s DC’s FanDome. A 24-hour mega immersive virtual fan experience to bring the San Diego Comic-Con at the comfort of your home in August. The virtual invention will bring the Universe to life and feature the stars, filmmakers and creators behind the wide variety of Movies, TV Shows, Games and Comics.
The San Diego Comic-Con got cancelled owing to the current pandemic leaving the fans disheartened. To make things slightly better, DC Entertainment is doing the SDCC experience in the comfort of your own home in August, with DC FanDome which will set us up with a year’s worth of DC Comics, DCEU, and Arrowverse announcements.
What Will Not Be The Same
The fans visit conventions of this scale to encounter the madness of like-minded people coming together in masses, feeding off of each other’s excitement for the show. More than that, the idea is to get the first-hand hype and news on the new movies, panels with beloved creators. Well, this is DC’s way to showcase as much magic as possible on a virtual platform.
This will be a free event and open to the fans across 7 continents and will host the largest gathering of talent, announcements and content reveals in the history of DC.

Accessible for 24 hours at DCFanDome.com, the global event will immerse fans into the DC Multiverse, with new announcements from WB Games, Film and TV, and comics, as well as an unprecedented opportunity to hear from the casts and creators behind your favourite feature films and TV series, including Aquaman, The Batman, Batwoman, Black Adam, Black Lightning, DC Super Hero Girls, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl, Doom Patrol, The Flash, Harley Quinn, the SnyderCut of Justice League, Lucifer, Pennyworth, SHAZAM!, The Suicide Squad, Supergirl, Superman & Lois, Teen Titans GO!, Titans, Watchmen, Young Justice: Outsiders and, coming this fall to theatres worldwide, Wonder Woman 1984.
The DC FanDome’s Hall of Heroes
The epicentre of the DC FanDome is the Hall of Heroes. Here, you can experience special programming, panels and content reveals from a wide variety of films, TV series and games. This is available in several languages. From there, navigate deeper into the DC Multiverse, exploring five additional satellite “worlds”. Each with its own localized content and unique activities and one world fully devoted to our younger fans:
- WatchVerse is the sit back setup for panels, screenings, footage, and behind the scenes details from DC Films, TV, home video and games.
- YouVerse has fan-created and curated content that Warner Brothers licenses into infinity. DC KidsVerse, on the other hand, will have family-friendly content for all ages.
- InsiderVerse is the con panel experience, with introductions to all of the various spheres of DC content. And behind the scenes looks at the making of DC comics, games, TV shows, movies and toys.
- FunVerse has the con shopping experience like digital giveaways, comics, model kits, and some exclusives.
- The Blerd and Boujee House promises “a celebration of Black nerd culture…bringing Blerds, LatinxGeeks and all nerds ‘party-with-a-purpose’ vibes.” As anyone lucky enough to get into the first-ever Blerd & Boujee boat party (featuring DJ D-Nice) at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 can attest, fans will not want to miss connections and conversations designed for the culture.
Wait! There’s More To It
DC Fandome is calling all the fans to submit their entries for Fan Art. In partnership with Talenthouse, DC FanDome today launched a call for your best DC Fan Art & Fandom displays.
The participants can submit their art at create.DCFanDome.com for a chance to be featured inside this virtual world event, and demonstrate to people in your home country and across the globe that they are the ultimate DC Super Fan.
DC FanDome goes live on August 22.
