Behrad Tarazi, one of the Legends, surprising died in the 9th episode of season 5 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Played by Shayan Shobhian, Behrad was killed by the Greek Goddess Atropos (played by Joanna Vanderham). Behrad got murdered while he was trying to protect his elder sister Zari. The heroes while seeking one of the missing pieces of Loom of Fate, were trying to run away from Atropos when Tarazi was killed.
Behrad joined Legends of Tomorrow in this new season as per timeline, but thanks to time traveling, it is not that simple. We have seen Behrad since season 3 owing to mind-bending timelines. Behrad and Zari have taken over each other’s role in the Legends in several alternate timelines in the absence of either, but his unexpected death this episode titled “Zari, not Zari” has left little scope for Behrad to return to the show.
This episode marked the exit of one and the debut of another. Notably, Joanna Vanderham as Atropos made her first appearance in the show. The fans were impressed by the impact of her screen presence in the show. She makes up for a great new villain, as a Greek Goddess who is ruthless and sharp when it comes to achieving her ends. Atropos is determined to create some serious trouble for our favorite Legends. This episode also saw the character curves of the Legends becoming more mature. Zara Tarazi (played by Tala Ashed) is rediscovering herself. Mick Rory (played by Dominic Purcell) is learning to give priority to making apology over giving away to other shortcuts.
A mild crossover with the show ‘Supernaturals’ delighted as well as disappointed the fans of both the shows. The fans were delighted that the crossover did really happen but were disappointed that it was not a full crossover. Moreover, a full crossover could have derailed the episode from major plot development for the show. This could be the reason why the creators went for a mild crossover.
