Debi Mazar, The Younger actress, is definitely ready to admit that Entourage had its faults. She appeared on People TV’s Couch Surfing with host Lola Ogunnaike. Not just that, she gave some insight into how her series regular role as Shauna the publicist on the HBO comedy series “was a lot of fun to play”. Debi Mazer simultaneously admits that the behind scenes had some downsides.
Why and how was Debi Mazar “embarrassed”?

She further goes on to explain that she was kind of embarrassed of her dialogue. Mazar added, “because I curse, and I obviously have the ability to be a complete trash mouth, but some of the things I would say would completely make me blush.”
She further elaborated by saying, “with TV, you don’t know what they’re going to write. I took a job to make money. I mean, [creator Doug Ellin] wrote a really strong character, but that set was very testosterone-driven and misogynistic.”
What else do we know about the show and Debi Mazar?

Entourage was a hit for HBO. It went for eight seasons, which is a very big deal. Debi Mazar notably had her biggest TV role before she joined the cast of Younger in 2015. When she was asked about what drew her to her character on a show that was definitely criticized by some for less than complimentary portrayals of women, Debi said :
“there were days where it was hard. But then I would just go into Shauna mode and go, ‘You know what, fuck you. Bye.’ At the end of the day, my job is to deliver, and that’s what I do.”
Debi Mazar did deliver as Shauna so well that she became an unforgettable parr of Entourage. But her descriptions of the set indicate that she didn’t entirely have an easy time working as Shauna. Also, she is not the first actress to publicly address what the Entourage process was like. Community and GLOW star Alison Brie also had shared that she was asked to take her top off while auditioning for a minor role on the show.
