Cast of Deputy
Deputy stars Stephen Dorff as the main character of Deputy Sergeant/Acting Sheriff Bill Hollister. He is appointed as sheriff of Los Angeles County after his predecessor dies of a heart attack. Yara Martinez stars in the role of Bill’s wife and a trauma surgeon, Dr. Paula Reyes. Brian Van Holt plays the role of Deputy Cade Ward. Bex Taylor-Klaus plays the role of Deputy (later Detective) Brianna Bishop. Shane Paul McGhie stars as Deputy Joseph Harris who joins the force in honor of his late father. He is also Bill’s god-son. Mark Moses plays the role of Bill’s second-in-command, Undersheriff Jerry London. Danielle Mone Truit plays the role of Deputy Charlie Minnick, Harris’s training officer, and Ward’s partner. She replaced the character of Deputy Rachel Delgado, which only appeared in the first episode and was portrayed by Siena Goines.
Will there be a season 2 of Deputy?
Deputy had an average viewership number of 3.5 million viewers across its thirteen-episode run. This number is the fifth-highest in Fox’s scripted shows list, only behind 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Lone Star, Last Man Standing, and The Resident. However, in terms of ratings, Deputy stood at number 11 on the same list; only faring better than Outmatched, Duncanville, and the already canceled Almost Family. The poor ratings of the show resulted in it getting the axe from Fox after only one season. Deputy was canceled in April 2020, a week after the first season had finished airing; and will not be returning for a second season.
