Release Date

Descenders is an adventure cycling game created by RageSquid, a Dutch developer that is published by No More Robots. It was launched for Windows and Xbox One on May 7th, 2019.

Hit indie biker, Descenders has been eventually granted a release date for the PS4. On 25th August 2020, Descenders will finally hit PS4. The news was revealed on the PlayStation Blog and the title presents nine separate realms of process creation, from the Scottish Highlands to the active volcano. Game-like construction means you need to hold the handlebars to stay alive.

Gameplay

Descenders is a downhill mountain bike video game that sets players in various locations. Every level in the game is created by the process. At each level, the player races downhill on a relative dirt track. During the trials, the player is allowed to perform tricks on his bike.

Each stage often provides a series of arbitrary tasks to be achieved, such as executing a trick a certain amount of times or completing a race within a given time. Each level also includes checkpoints that serve as checkpoints when bailed out. Bail a lot, and the player fails the stage.

Descenders feature freestyle bike riding, allowing players to take care of every move the bike rider makes. This is made possible by the very remarkable physics method of No More Robots. Also, special mutators are periodically earned, which provide abilities that players can then adapt to their desired style of play.

The Rep program for Descenders consists of an online section for those who wish to publicly show their extreme cycling skills. The Rep scheme offers incentives in the form of new bikes and equipment for the rider.
