Detective Pikachu Returns: Release Date, Trailer, and Gameplay!

The upcoming adventure video game, Detective Pikachu Returns will soon be released for Nintendo Switch and is published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo. The game was announced in 2019 at a press release and it will be a follow-up to Detective Pikachu, which was released for Nintendo 3DS in 2016.

The game will be set in Ryme City where Pikachu will collaborate again with Tim Goodman. He will aim to solve the mysteries and find the emergence of Pikachu. Harry Goodman will also be featured in the game and Pokemon from the rest of the games released over the years would appear in the storyline. The game was announced as an unnamed sequel to Detective Pikachu for the Nintendo 3DS during a press release in 2019. In June 2023, during a Nintendo Direct, it was showcased for the first time. The game is scheduled to be released on October 6, 2023.

Detective Pikachu belongs to the adventure genre where Tim Goodman will be the main protagonist collaborating with Detective Pikachu to solve the mysteries. There will be scenes where characters walk around, find clues, have conversations, and find new details.
