Dickinson is an American historical drama-comedy streaming television series created by Apple TV+. Alena Smith created the series that first came out on November 1, 2019 when Apple TV+ first came out. That makes it not only one of the most loved Apple TV+ series but also one of the oldest ones! The series is based on the life of famous American poet Emily Dickinson.
Alena Smith, David Gordon Green, Michael Sugar, Paul Lee, Ashley Zalta, Alex Goldstone and Darlene Hunt serve as the executive producers for the show. Hailee Steinfeld, the star of the show, also serves as an executive producer.

Dickinson: Plot and Cast
The show represents poet Emily Dickinson with more modern sensibilities and a stronger need to discover who she is. Emily keeps breaking gender norms boldly and figuring out her place in society and as a female. A writer who is just coming to terms with her sexuality, she explores the feelings of not quite fitting in her own time and longs for more clarity.
Hailee Steinfeld plays Emily, who tries to break free from the gender norms set by her conservative parents. She is secretly in love with her best friend and her brother’s fiancée, Sue Gilbert.
Ella Hunt plays Sue Gilbert, the wife-to-be of Emily’s brother, Austin. Adrian Enscoe plays Austin, Emily and her sister Lavinia’s older brother. He recently graduated from college.
Toby Huss plays Edward Dickinson, Emily, Austin and Lavinia’s father, who plans to run for congress. Anna Baryshnikov plays Lavinia, fondly known as Vinnie. Jane Krakowski plays Emily Norcross Dickinson, namesake to young Emily, and a traditional housewife and mother.
Dickinson Season 3: Release Date and Trailer
While the series was renewed for a third season in October 2020, it was done before the release of the second season. The second season is about to premiere on January 2021 and will finish releasing on February 26, 2021.
