The controversial yet highly successful American teen drama, 13 Reasons Why the final season is set to premiere on Netflix on 5 June 2020. It was a smash hit ever since its arrival, and Netflix decided to renew the series for next seasons.
The plot of the Previous Seasons
The series is adapted from the book of the same title by Jay Asher, and it was supposed to be a limited series. The first season of the series showed the aftermath of the suicide of the high school student, Hannah Baker. She leaves behind a box of 13 tapes for the students of Liberty High to listen after her suicide. Each tape consisted of the reasons why she’s ending her life. The first season explained Hannah’s suicide, while the second season showed how the students dealt with the trauma of her death. The trauma continued to follow the students in the form of sexual assault, drug addictions, and murder. The third season of the series focused on who killed Bryce Walker, the rapist of Hannah Baker. The season was quite complicated and ultimately ended with Monty in the prison for killing Bryce.
In the trailer of the fourth and final season of the show, it’s shown that Monty’s been framed and all the protagonists of the series are on the edge in their senior year.
