DOCTOR WHO SEASON 13: PLOT, CAST, RELEASE DATE AND MORE

The “Doctors” are finally back! No, not for the pandemic but the largest show in the cinematic universe- Doctor Who. The BBC produced British science fiction television series had set a benchmark and gained immense popularity and reputation over the past decades. The series just got over with Season 12, but that’s not the end. The creators said that they are going to commence the shoot of season 13 this year September and to be screened in 2021, but unfortunately, it might get delayed due to the COVID-19.

The new season is said to also have 10 episodes.

PLOT

Doctor Who revolves around the journey of the “doctor” who is an eccentric alien scientist from the planet of Times Lord, a race of supreme beings who discovered the secrets of time travel. But they never interfere with the matters of other planets and only observe and gain knowledge. The “Doctor” travels through time and space in the TARDIS which takes him/her through time and space and galaxies and any historic period.  He/she’s main motive is to fight the evils and oppression and battles the aliens.

CAST

It is heard that Jodie Whittaker would be returning as the “Doctor Who” once again, and it is the result of the positive response from the audience. Mandip Gill and Bradley Walse would be playing the character of Yaz and Graham respectively.  Not much has been announced about the other casts. But it is expected that Doctor Ruth would return and a threat might be hovering on the Master and the cyberman.

RELEASE DATE

RadioTimes.com expects that the series might come out the autumn of 2021 as the Christmas special, after a 10-month shoot. But is now uncertain about the start of the shoot, let alone the release.

WHAT ABOUT JOHN BARROWMAN? 

The audience was thrilled to get a glimpse of John Barrowman in the last season but the question stands here, will he return for the new season? He said to RadioTimes that he will be happy to work again with the crew.

WHAT SPICE WILL BE ADDED TO THE NEW SEASON? 

Well, nothing much has been announced as of yet about the new season but the fans are trying to acknowledge the hints from the finale of season 12.

Showrunner Chibnall says that they are plotting the story and have ambitious plans for the next one. We might get to see the “Doctor” working out what missions she finished for the Division or exploring her past self.

Till now, it is expected that Chris Chibnall will return for the third season but it is unknown whether the other string of writers will get back to the force or not.
