Hello, Readers! Doctor Who Season 13 is almost here! The Doctor has been saving the world from countless extraterrestrial perils since Russell T. Davies rebooted the sci-fi show with Christopher Eccleston 17 years ago.

The current keeper of the TARDIS is Jodie Whittaker, albeit we now know that this will be her final season as the Doctor. Apart from three more specials set to air in 2022, this is Jodie’s final journey through space and time.

The new season, called Doctor Who: Flux, promises to introduce viewers to both familiar and new monsters and aliens. This season will be “bigger and better than ever,” according to Jodie Whittaker, who promises that “questions will be posed, answers will be given, exclamation marks will be used, and massive exclamation marks will be used” throughout the series.

Doctor Who Season 13: Release Date

The new season will air on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 6:25 p.m. Episodes will air on Sundays once a week, with the final episode of the new season airing on December 5.

What is this about?

With the end of the current season nearing, key revelations from the season 12 finale are likely to be revisited this season, especially since the Doctor acknowledges her being from another realm and her numerous lifetimes in the 2021 holiday special Revolution of the Daleks.

John Bishop will play Dan Lewis, a new companion who will also serve as the series lead in the future, implying big storyline alterations. The Weeping Angels and Sontarans, as well as The Ravagers and the titular Flux, have been confirmed as returning creatures. Along with the Daleks, the Cybermen and the Ood will be involved in the action.

This season, the major protagonists will concentrate on themselves, with the Doctor looking into her previous self to figure out what tasks she did for the Division and where she came from in the first place. Yaz’s previous mental health difficulties will be addressed in the future.
