Created by Patrick Macmanus, Dr. Death is a crime drama series and it is based on the podcast of the same name. Macmanus is also the executive producer alongside Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Taylor Latham, Steve Tisch, Aaron Hart, Marshall Lewy, Hernan Lopez, Christian Slater, Alec Baldwin, Matt Del Piano, Maggie Kiley and Evan Wright.
The first season of the series premiered on July 15, 2021 and received positive reviews from critics. It currently holds an approval rating of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and considering that, the makers have already renewed it for a second season.

Dr. Death Plot and Cast
Since Dr. Death was renewed for a second season this month, it is hard to say what would happen in Season 2 since the makers have also not revealed anything about the same. However, it is confirmed to continue from where the first season ended.
The main plot follows an arrogant and sinister doctor who treats his Hippocratic Oath about the same way he treats his patients. As his malignant narcissism and psychopathy escalate, his fellow surgeons and a young assistant district attorney set out to stop him.
Talking about the cast, the lead cast members of Season 1 would come back to reprise their roles. This includes Joshua Jackson, Grace Gummer, Christian Slater, Alec Baldwin and AnnaSophia Robb.
Dr. Death Season 2 Release Date
The first season of Dr. Death premiered in 2021 but it was renewed for a second season almost a year later. Considering that, the second season should release sometime in 2023.
The upcoming season might consist of eight episodes like the first season. The series is produced by Littleton Road Productions, Escape Artists, Wondery and Universal Content Productions.
