Drifters 2: Release Date, Cast and More!

Anime series have found huge success worldwide. Major streaming services are rushing to bag the most no of manga series that they can grab. Here is some news for another manga series in development: Drifters 2.

Drifters manga series revolve around a parallel world where exist a battle between two groups of humans and other creatures like dwarves, elves. The story begins with protagonist warrior  Shimazu Toyohisa being transported to this alternate world. He finds a group of great warriors like him who are here to protect humans called ” Drifters”.The Drifters are great warriors that have been transported in this world from different era and periods. The strange world that has all sorts of creatures. Their existence is threatened by another group of warriors called “Ends”. The Ends have magic abilities of their own and are cruel. The Ends also control many formidable creatures like giants and dragons against humans. The underlying conflict and strange world form the backdrop of the story.

The Drifters series is written and illustrated by Kouta Hirano. The televised version of Drifters season 1 was also screened between October to December 2016. The makers have hinted at a possible season 2, but have not released any dates yet.

What will be the Cast of Drifters 2?

The makers have not released anycast details for season 2 yet. But going by the previous season, The cast includes Yūichi Nakamura as Shimazu Toyohisa, Wataru Takagi as Sundance Kid, Naoya Uchida as Oda Nobunaga, Shiho Kokido as Olminu, Kenji Fukuda as Alesta, Daisuke Ono as Butch Cassidy, Koji Yusa as Flame. The other cast includes  Akira Ishida as Minamoto no Yoshitsune, Mitsuki Saiga as Nasu Suketaka Yoichi, Takahiro Sakurai as Abe no more Haruakira, Hiroshi Yanaka as Scipio Africanus, Tomokazu Sukita as Saint Germi, Yutaka Aoyama as Hannibal.

Release Date

No trailers have been released by makers yet. The makers have also not revealed any official date for the release of Drifters season 2. According to some sources the predicted release date may be October 2020. But we will have to wait for official confirmation by makers.
