Dying Light 2 is a forthcoming action-horror survival game created by Techland and released by Techland Publishing. The game will be launched for Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The game is the successor to Dying Light 2015.
Dying Light 2 was revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference and we’ve already seen more specifics of what to expect from the action, setting, and plot of the 2019 E3 trailer. Techland is spreading the Dying Light 2 Parkour campaign dramatically, with industry veteran Chris Avellone in charge of the narrative.
Any release date revealed?
The Dying Light 2 release date was of Spring 2020. But Techland has revealed that the highly awaited series has been postponed indefinitely. All Techland and Chris Avellone have since pushed back on rumors that Dying Light 2 is currently in progress.
In early 2020, Developer Techland stated that the game needs “more production time to achieve our dream,” so be secure in the awareness it will come when it is finished.
Techland has also announced that Dying Light 2 will ship on both PS5 and Xbox Series X, and this delay may point to the next-gen production team, rather than the existing consoles.

Gameplay
The game starts 15 years after Dying Light, featuring a new protagonist named Aiden Caldwell, who has various parkour skills. Players will execute acts such as climbing ledges, slipping, leaping off walls, and running wall to explore the city quickly. Since the first edition, more than double the parkour moves have been introduced, others are unique to different parts of the region.
Tools including a grappling hook and a paraglider also aid the town’s transversal. Long-range arms like crossbows, shotguns, spears can also be used. Guns can be upgraded to various styles and components and can be identified by breaking down weapons for craft pieces.
New zombies are introduced. Unlike the first film, the zombies are sluggish when exposed to sunshine, but at night they are more offensive and violent.
There are a few highlights to watch out for, such as chaining parkour movements along with melee fighting, not to mention the sheer number of uninfected people living in the town.

Despite the apparent delay of its successor, the original Dying Light has continued to gain interest. A DLC entitled Dying Light: Hellraid will be released July 23 for players on Windows, PS4, and Xbox One, tossing them into the realm of a medieval horror arcade cabinet to battle off demon skeletons.
