Created by William Finkelstein and Mike Flynn, East New York is an upcoming police procedural TV series of American origin. It follows the detectives and officers of the 74th precinct that is headed by deputy Inspector Regina Hayewood who happens to be the recently promoted commanding officer. The plot follows Regina Haywood of East New York’s 74th precinct who recently received a promotion and got placed as the head of the division. Having her familial cords tied to the neighborhood, Haywood is persistent to undertake creative measures to safeguard her close-to-the-heart community with her troop of detectives and officers. That being said, her first and foremost task is to get the team on board since some officers are skeptical regarding her being promoted to her new post and some others are not much positive about her leadership and its methods. How Regina manages to bring the team on her side and make the officers abide by her methods which are aimed at protecting and serving the community and also bridging the gap between the police and the common man is what the audiences are waiting to witness.
