Emily in Paris: Release Date, Plot and Updates!

The captivating picturesque scenes of Paris in the trailer of Emily in Paris what made us put the show on our bucket list. The upcoming American comedy-drama web series created by Darren Star is set to premiere on October 2, 2020, on Netflix, and we cannot wait enough. The first season is said to consist of 10 episodes. Michael Amodio, Stephen Joel Brown, Lily Collins, and Shihan Fey serve as producers, whereas Darren Star, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming serve as executive producers. Darren Star Productions, Jax Media, MTV Studios are the production houses. The shooting has been done dominantly in Paris from the month of August last year, along with some places in Chicago.

The official description on Netflix of Emily in Paris goes like this, “After landing her dream job in Paris, Chicago marketing exec Emily Cooper embraces her adventurous new life while juggling work, friends, and romance.” The trailer promises almost everything- love, beauty, and passion. Not much has been revealed about the show but given that Darren Star (Sex and the City and Younger) is the creator, we can be assured that it is going to be a great, light-hearted, and humorous series. The episodes are anticipated to be around half an hour. Before Netflix took over the distribution rights, Emily in Paris was in the hands of Paramount Network. It is said the show might be relatable because of the cultural clashes faced by many who work overseas or visit for short business trips. Now time will only tell us whether it keeps up with our expectations or not. Emily In Paris had wrapped production on its 10-episode first season before the start of the coronavirus pandemic, and thankfully a new content for streamers. Star shared some words regarding Netflix acquiring the distribution right.
