Created and written by Sam Levinson, Euphoria is an American teen drama television series. It is based on the Israeli miniseries of the same name created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin. The series is filmed at Ulysses S. Grant High School in Los Angeles, California and Sony Studios in Culver City, California.

Euphoria premiered on June 16, 2019. In July 2019, the series was renewed for a second season, preceded by two one-hour specials broadcast in December 2020 and January 2021. The second season premiered on January 9, 2022, and in February 2022, the series was renewed for a third season.

Euphoria Plot and Cast

After that soul-crushing Season 2 finale, we’re left with so many questions. If you need a recap: Nate calls the police on his father, Cal, and reveals he has a USB disc of all the footage from his father’s sexual relationships, Cassie and Maddy had a massive fight during Lexi’s hilarious play at school, but seemingly might be able to repair their friendship, and Rue appears to have forgiven Jules for telling her mother about her drug addiction.

The biggest question mark is whether Fez, who was arrested at the end of season two after being accidentally shot by Ashtray, survives and will make a comeback in season three. Fans of the show will remember that Ashtray meets his untimely demise at the end of season two after shooting at the police, as Fez attempts to take the blame for his crime.

The main cast includes Zendaya as Ruby, Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard, Angus Cloud as Fezco, Eric Dane as Cal Jacobs, Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez, Algee Smith as Christopher McKay, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard, Javon “Wanna” Walton as Ashtray, Austin Abrams as Ethan Daley and Dominic Fike as Elliot.

Euphoria Season 3 Release Date

HBO is yet to reveal the release date for Euphoria Season 3. There may be a year to wait until filming can even begin and so we’re unlikely to see the new season air until 2024.

The new season is expected to have eight episodes like the first two seasons. However, further details are yet to be announced by the makers.
