Everything you need to know about Aladdin 2 ~ Cast, Plot and Release Date!

Disney’s Aladdin is on its way with a sequel. The original movie was a huge hit worldwide and now it’s officially confirmed that Aladdin 2 is coming. The movie was directed by Guy Ritchie and featured newcomers Mena Massaud and Naomi Scott. Aladdin smashed the box office with earning $92 million in the first weekend and earned $1 billion globally.

The plot of the Sequel

The plot for Aladdin 2 is anticipated that will basically revolve around Return of Zafar, but Disney has its own way to turn the story with a beautiful twist which is not yet revealed by the creators, it is being kept as a secret.

Cast

It is likely possible that the cast for the sequel will be the cast of 2019 Aladdin reprising their respective roles. Mena Massoud as Aladdin gave a spectacular performance thieving, laughing, singing, and making his way into the heart of audiences worldwide. Naomi Scott as headstrong Princess Jasmine was extremely elegant and stunning. Will Smith as Genie performed his role in a fun and dignified way, Marwan Kezari as Zafar was a symbol of menace, but he gave a brilliant performance as a villain. These are the cast for the sequel of Aladdin, if there’s an addition to the cast then, it hasn’t been revealed yet because the sequel will be an original story, so we might see some new characters as well.

Release Date

The release date of Aladdin 2 is not confirmed yet. Disney takes a long time to release the sequel of its live-action remakes, Alice Through The Looking Glass is releasing after six years following Alice in the Wonderland, Maleficent released after five years since its original movie. In present, The Little Mermaid, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and a sequel to The Jungle Book have no launching dates. Suffice to say that Aladdin 2 is not coming to theaters anytime before 2022.
