Deep Water is the forthcoming American Psychological Romantic Suspense film directed by Adrian Lyne, based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1957 novel of the same name, which Zach Helm and Sam Levinson wrote the screenplay for.
The film stars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, with Tracy Letts, Rachel Blanchard, Lil Rel Howery, Finn Wittrock, Jacob Elordi, Kristen Connolly and Dash Mihok starring in supporting roles, and marks Lyne’s return to directing after 19 years of absence from his last film Unfaithful (2002).

A married couple who fell out of love with each other starts to play dangerous mind games against each other and begins to see those around them perish. A well to do husband who encourages his wife to have an affair in order to escape divorce becomes a key suspect in the abduction of her lovers.

The main characters of this movie include Ben Affleck as Vic Van Allen and Ana de Armas as Melinda Van Allen who plays the role of a husband and wife duo. We also see Tracy Letts as Peter, Rachel Blanchard as Ariadne and Lil Rel Howery as Nash. Finn Wittrock plays the role of Dom whereas Jacob Elordi plays the role of Terry. Kristen Connolly is seen depict the character of Mal and Dash Mihok is seen depicting the role of Arthur. Deep Water Release Date?
The project started to evolve in 2013, with Adrian Lyne set to direct and Fox 2000 Pictures set to fund. In 2018, Fox sold the rights to New Regency. The movie saw new changes in August 2019; Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas agreed to work as actors, and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures agreed to oversee the distribution under their 20th Century Fox label. Tracy Letts and Rachel Blanchard joined the film in October 2019.
Filming commenced in New Orleans on 4 November 2019, with additions by Dash Mihok, Lil Rel Howery, Jacob Elordi, Kristen Connolly, Jade Fernandez and Finn Wittrock. Michael Braun joined the project in December 2019.
20th Century Studios will release the film in the United States on August 13, 2021.
