F Is for Family is an American adult animated streaming television series. This was created by Bill Burr and Michael Price for Netflix, a streaming platform. Gaumont International Television and Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Television created this show. This show revolves around a dysfunctional suburban Irish-American family and is set in the fictional town of Rustvale, Pennsylvania in the early-mid 1970s. The show premiered on December 18, 2015.
WHAT IS F IS FOR FAMILY ABOUT?
According to Google, “Set in the 1970s, this animated raunchy comedy is inspired by the life of stand-up comic Bill Burr, who is a co-creator and executive producer of the series. Burr also voices the character of Frank Murphy, a short-tempered veteran who lives in the suburbs with his wife, Sue (Laura Dern) and their three children. Frank, who works at an airport, has a penchant for shouting and profanity-filled rants. The series celebrates all things the 1970s, including the lifestyle, the music, and all sorts of other nostalgic details.”
WHAT IS THE CAST FOR F IS FOR FAMILY?
In this show, we hear Bill Burr as Francis “Frank” Murphy who is a 39-year-old disillusioned, short-tempered, foul-mouthed. He is also a Korean War veteran and father of four who works as a baggage handler at the local airport. Laura Dern is heard Sue Murphy who is Frank’s 36-year-old wife, a mother of four, and struggling entrepreneur. Justin Long voices Kevin Murphy who is Frank’s slightly dim-witted 15-year-old oldest son, juvenile delinquent, and struggling guitarist. Haley Reinhart is heard as Bill Murphy, Frank’s meek and neurotic 12-year-old middle son who is cursed by multiple bullies.
WHEN IS SEASON 5 OF F IS FOR FAMILY RELEASING?
While I come bearing good news, I also have some bad news. In October 2020, netflix renewed the show for a fifth season although this will be the final season for this show. There is no official release date as of now for this season of the show, but it should air sometime in 2021 on Netflix.
