Fast and Furious 9: Everything you wanna know about it!

This COVID 19 pandemic had prevented a lot of blockbusters from hitting the big screens. Out of all those films, the biggest and the most awaited would be F9, or better known as Fast and Furious 9. This is an American action based movie written by Daniel Casey and directed by Justin Lin. The most surprising thing is that Chris Morgan is not the writer or the co-writer of this movie. It’s been the first occasion since 2003, that Morgan is out of the writing scenario.

Release

The F 9 was to be released on 22 May 2020, but due to the corona pandemic, the release was delayed up to a year. 2 April 2021 was assigned for the film to hit the big screens. This date is still not fixed and it can be altered relating to the situations. The trailer was released on 31 May 2020, there’s a hint about the storyline.

Cast

Vin Diesel, without whose action and power-packed dialogue, the film is incomplete, will continue his character as Dominic Toretto. WWE superstar John Cena would also be a part of this blockbuster as Jakob Toretto. And also the former team members will continue their characters in the movie. The film will star Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron.

Development

It was already confirmed back in 2014 that after F7 (2015), there would be 3 more parts in this legendary series. In April 2017, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson also confirmed their return for the upcoming movies. But sadly, Dwayne johnson verified in 2019 that, because of his busy schedule he is unavailable for the film. Justin Lin and Jordana Brewster will also mark their return for the ninth and tenth film.

In May 2018, Morgan stated that because of his busy schedule, Hobb’s, and Shaw spin-off film it’s tough for him to work for F9. Therefore Daniel Casey was employed to write the screenplay. In June 2019, John Cena was officially included for the film, after the hint for the Vin Diesel. The major part of the shooting took place in the latter half of 2019.

Plot

It is a sequel to The Fate of the furious (2017) and will continue its events. As in the trailer we have seen that the Han is back, while he was shown to be killed in an earlier season. This is a striking question for all of us. While Hobbs and shaw were missing during such events. Where are they? But sadly because of the current world scenario, we have to wait a lot for these answers.

When F9’s trailer was launched in January 2020, it stormed all furious fans around the globe and created burning suspense for it, which is hard to resist. In the trailer, it was furiously shown that John Cena/Jakob is Dom’s brother. It’s to even note that, you have a brother who’s just ambition in life is to kill you. That’s terrific even for a guy like Dominic. In addition to that Cipher is also helping Jakob for having Dom dead.

The biggest shock was in the last part of the trailer. Yes, the return of Han, he’s back. It’s tough to comprehend how he managed to survive. While we all believed him to be dead for the last 3 years. It was clearly shown in F7 that he died, then how can he be back? We can’t wait to find the answers to all of them.

Diesel, as the senior actor of the saga series, announced officially on his social media platform that- “We feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga. That’s why it’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May.

“While we know there is disappointment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration,”

For the delay in the release of F9, Daniel Casey also wrote on his timeline that – “Sorry guys!!! To our family of Fast fans everywhere, we feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga. That’s why it’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May.”

The F9 is the most awaited series to be postponed in 2020. With epic trailer and vulnerable suspense, it grabbed its attention towards the viewers. Expectations are really high for it and producers, know it well. We could only wait till 2021 for the blockbuster to be released on big screens. The casting of John Cena will attract a lot of viewers and help Universal Pictures for a better release. So let’s wait, hope, and make ourselves ready to experience its greatness.
