FBOY Island Season 2: Release Date, Trailer and more!

Created by Elan Gale, FBOY Island is a dating reality television series made for HBO Max. Gale is also the executive producer alongside Ben Bitonti, Sam Dean, Nikki Glaser and Jason Goldberg.

The first season of the series premiered on July 29, 2021 and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. It currently holds an approval rating of 40% on Rotten Tomatoes and has been rated 5/10 on IMDb. Despite the mixed reception, the makers have renewed the series for a second season, which is scheduled to premiere soon.

FBOY Island Format and Cast

FBOY Island focuses on three female contestants and twenty-four male counterparts. Among the men, twelve are self-professed nice guys and the other half are known as fboys. The first half are interested in forming a relationship and the other half get involved in competing for a cash prize of $100,000.

During each episode, the women choose men to go out with and the ending of the episode consists of three men being chosen to be eliminated and later it is revealed if they are a philanderer or not. The fboys are sometimes called Lotharios and after being eliminated, they are sent to Limbro, which refers to huts made from bamboo, cots and hay-filled pillows and the nice guys are sent in a limousine to a mansion called Nice Guy Grotto.

During the first half of the series, the remaining male contestants reveal their own labels to the women and audience. During the complete run of the show, the abbreviated form, fboy is used by the contestants and host. The show is presented by Nikki Glaser and she is expected to return in the second season.

FBOY Island Season 2 Release Date

The first season of FBOY Island was released in July 2021 and it was renewed for a second season the following month. Considering that, the second season should premiere by the end of 2022.

The new season should consist of ten episodes like the first season with the same runtime. The show is produced by STX Alternative and distributed by HBO Max.
