The series is based on the book written by James Patterson. It is a true-crime biography, co-written by John Connolly and Tim Malloy. The four-part limited series will take a close look at how Epstein used his money and power to molest women and even teenagers at times, through the testimonials of several victims.
Who is Jeffery Epstein?
Before entering into finance and investment, Epstein was a maths teacher. In the 70s he began working for the investment bank Bear Sterns and later founded his own firm J. Epstein and Co. in 1988. He specifically targeted his service for the elite of the elite, people with an asset worth in billions. He operated his company from the U.S. Virgin Islands due to technical reasons. He soon became a popular fund manager with clients included people like Leslie Wexner, the owner of the Victoria’s Secret, Leslie Wexner. His friends included Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Queen Elizabeth’s son Prince Andrew, Bill Gates and Kevin Spacey to name a few. His net worth was more than half a million dollars in cash, investments, and properties in the US and Europe.
He was also a prominent philanthropist who funded research and educational institutes, schools, and sports programs. One of his popular contributions includes a donation of $6.5 million to Harvard University for a research program that was conducting research on mathematical principles that influence evolution.
