First Responders Live: Will it return for Season 2 or not? Details and more!

First Responders Live on Fox is a show about the first responders of America. The show is unscripted; and follows the bravery of firefighters, police officers, EMS technicians, and first responders across America, as they risk their own lives to save others from dangers. The show premiered on Fox on June 12, 2019. Dick Wolf is the executive producer on First Responders Live. Josh Elliott is the host of First Responders Live.

First Responders Live was first ordered by Fox to consist of seven episodes. Six more episodes were ordered by Fox later, taking the total number of episodes in season 1 to thirteen. The webpage of First Responders Live on the official website of Fox describes the synopsis of the show as-

“A live in-depth look at the brave American heroes — including firefighters, police officers, EMS technicians and first responders — who put their own lives on the line as they race into danger to save others. Each week, the show embeds cameras in multiple cities across the country to document a night in the life of these units. Host Josh Elliott provides live analysis and commentary, with help from a team of experts, as the show follows first-person accounts of the action.”

First Respondents Live Season 2- What we know so far

When the show first premiered, it was labeled as a live version of Dick Wolf’s One Chicago franchise. The show is similar to the hit series Live PD, and also brought on a number of experts to explain to the viewers what exactly was going on in the episodes. The first season had a rating of 0.45 in the 18-49 category and averaged at 1.82 million viewers across its thirteen-episode first season run.

The ratings for First Responders Live have been average at best. Fox has not canceled the show yet, but they haven’t renewed it either. The show is cheap to produce, so Fox just might renew it for season 2. There has been no official announcement of either the renewal or cancellation of First Responders Live.
