For Life Season 2 – Cast, Premiere Date and more updates!

For Life is a legal drama television series on ABC. The series is loosely based on the true story of Isaac Wright Jr., who was imprisoned for a crime that he did not commit. While in jail, he became an attorney and helped overturn the wrongful conviction of twenty inmates, before finally proving his own innocence as well. The series is created by Hank Steinberg. The first season of For Life premiered on ABC on February 11, 2020. It consisted of 13 episodes and ended on May 12, 2020.

For Life was renewed for a second season on June 16, 2020.

Cast of For Life Season 2

The main cast on For Life includes Nicholas Pinnock as Aaron Wallace; Indira Varma as Safiya Masri; Joy Bryant as Marie Wallace; Mary Stuart Masterson as Anya Harrison; Dorian Crossmond Missick as Jamal Bishop; Tyla Harris as Jasmine Wallace; Glenn Fleshler as Frank Foster; Boris McGiver as Glen Maskin’s; and Timothy Busfield as Henry Roswell.

The series also has a number of guest stars, most of whom are expected to appear in season 2 as well. These include Brandon J. Dirden as Darius Johnson; Erik Jensen as Dez O’Reilly; 50 Cent as Cassius Dawkins; Peter Greene as White Bill Miller; Felonious Munk as Hassan Nawaz; Joseph Siravo as Jerry McCormack; Matt Delapina as Tom Hansen; and Toney Goins as Ronnie Baxter.

Premiere date and more updates on For Life Season 2

The second season of For Life began production in New York on August 26, 2020. However, on September 11, 2020, it was reported that there have been multiple positive test results for people working on the series. The state of New York has strict guidelines regarding positive test results, and a spokesperson for Sony Pictures Television gave this statement on September 11-

“As a result of some inconsistent test results, and out of an abundance of caution, we paused production earlier today.”

Two days later, another statement was released, stating that production on the second season has been suspended for two weeks. Season 2 of For Life is scheduled to premiere on November 18, 2020.
