For Life Season 2: Release Date and Updates!

When will “For Life” return with its sequel? Let us find out about For Life Season 2: Release Date and Updates!

For Life is an American legal drama television series. Hank Steinberg created the series. It premiered on ABC on 11 February 2020. The series is loosely based on the true story of Isaac Wright Jr. A crime that he did not commit imprisoned him. While incarcerated, he became an attorney and also helped to overturn the wrongful convictions of twenty of his fellow inmates, before finally proving his own innocence. In June 2020, the series was renewed for a second season.

The series centers on Aaron Wallace, sentenced to life in prison for a crime he did not commit. Wallace then becomes a lawyer. He works as a defense attorney for others like him along with proving his own innocence.

At a February event, series co-star Joy Bryant called For Life the right show at the time. How do you feel about the show’s timing now and about its importance being amplified by the recent events following the death of George Floyd?

Is For Life Based on a True Story?

‘For Life’, the ABC series, tells the story of Aaron Wallace, an inmate serving a life sentence for a crime he did not commit. He becomes a lawyer in prison to serve other wrongly convicted prisoners. The entire premise of the series is loosely based on the life of Isaac Wright Jr.

For Life Season 2 Official Release Date

For now, there is not any confirmed date for the release of For Life Season 2. The manufacturers have not yet shown the airing date. There is a delay in production. The second season is likely to come out in early 2021. But the schedule can change due to the pandemic.

For Life Season 2 Official Trailer

There is no release of an official trailer. Because of the pandemic, there has been no official pledge of a fresh series. But if you haven’t watched season one yet, go for it!

For Life Season 2 Cast and Characters

We will see most of the cast from season one. We have Nicholas Pinnock as Aaron Wallace, a former club owner convicted of drug trafficking, although in truth, the drugs actually belonged to one of his friends. Now serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole, he earns a license to practice law and works to help his fellow inmates in court. Indira Varma as Safiya Masry, the warden who oversees the prison where Wallace is serving his sentence. She is reform-minded, and helps him as best she can, but their relationship is strained by her need to look out for her own family’s interests.

Joy Bryant as Marie Wallace, Aaron’s wife, who has entered into a new relationship with Darius, one of his friends. Although she is sympathetic to her husband’s plight, she also feels a need to move on and leave him in the past. Mary Stuart Masterson as Anya Harrison, Safiya’s wife, who is running for Attorney General of New York State.

Dorian Crossmond Missick as Jamal Bishop, Aaron’s closest friend in prison. He occasionally helps Aaron prepare cases. Tyla Harris as Jasmine Wallace, Aaron’s teenage daughter. Unlike her mother, she has never stopped believing in her father and dreams of him returning home one day. Glenn Fleshler as Frank Foster, a senior corrections officer at the prison. Like most of his fellow guards, he dislikes Aaron.

Boris McGiver as Glen Maskins, the prosecutor who led the team that put Aaron away, and who is now running for state Attorney General. He scorns his old foe’s desire to clear his name and will do whatever it takes, including blackmail, to keep him locked up for good. Timothy Busfield as Henry Roswell, A former New York state senator who assists Aaron in his quest to become a lawyer, and later helps him prepare to argue for his retrial in court.

We might also see some new faces.

For Life Season 2 Plot

The first series was based on the story of Isaac Wright Jr. He was wrongfully convicted on drug charges in 1991. For Life follows the story of Aaron Wallace (played by Nicholas Pinnock), who becomes a lawyer behind bars, litigating cases for other inmates while fighting to overturn his own life sentence for a crime he did not commit. Season one of For Life came to an end on a huge cliffhanger, with Aaron being given the chance at a re-trial.

The series shines a light on the challenges and flaws of the American legal and criminal justice system. There will be “some adjustments” to the concept of the second series. Unfortunately, no further details about season two are available.
