Created by Hank Steinberg, For Life is an American legal drama TV series which is based on the real account of Isaac Wright Jr. Wright was imprisoned for a crime that he did not commit. The story focuses on wrongfully incarcerated Aaron Wallace as he fights against a defective justice system. After the premiere of the first season of the legal series, it became one the best legal drama we have ever seen and was renewed for a second season by the network ABC. The series is a perfect medley of different genres namely crime drama and thriller.
Season 1 of For Life premiered on February 11, 2020, on ABC. The show was renewed for a second season by the network in June 2020. The series is all set to return on November 18, 2020, and viewers are thrilled. The trailer of the second season has not yet been released by the network.

What is it about?
The official synopsis of For Life by ABC goes like “For Life,” inspired by the life of Isaac Wright, Jr., is about prisoner Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock), who becomes a lawyer, litigating cases for other inmates while fighting to overturn his own life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. His quest for freedom is driven by his desperate desire to get back to the family he loves—his ex-wife (Joy Bryant) and daughter (Tyla Harris)—and reclaim the life that was stolen from him. “For Life” will also, through the window of his ferocious struggle and his complicated relationship with a progressive female prison warden (Indira Varma), examine the flaws and challenges in our penal and legal systems.
Season 1 finale ends with a cliffhanger, things are not in favour of Aaron fails at re-trial. It will be really interesting to see what happens in the second season.

The cast members of season 1 will return for the second season as well. We will get to see Nicholas Pinnock in the role of Aaron Wallace, Indra Varm in the role of Safiya Masry, Joy Byrant in the role of Marie Wallace, Mary Stuart in the role of Anya Harrison, Tyla Harris in the role of Jasmine Wallace, Glenn Flesher in the role of Frank Foster and Dorian Crossmond Messick in the role of Jamal Bishop.
