Foundation season 1: Upcoming new series!

It is based on the book series written by Isaac Asimov and has also been produced for Apple TV+. The series was in its pre-production stages but the production of the show in Ireland was suspended by apple due to COVID-19 on March 12th, 2020.

David S Goyer, who is the co-writer of The Dark Knight trilogy, and now the official showrunner for the series foundation, pairing up with Apple TV+ has taken up the path to creating an adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi novel, regarded the greater sci-fi of all time—the thousand-year saga, the fall of the galactic empire and a generations-long plan to save humanity’s future, it shows the way humanity changes when it comes to war and peace, politics.

The story of Foundation revolves around the efforts of Hari Seldon who is a scientist and has invented “psychohistory”  which is a kind of math that can predict the future. Facing the collapse of the Galactic Empire, Seldon created the “Foundation,” which is a colony of exceptional people, that must preserve human knowledge and ensure the restart of civilization. 

On June 27, 2017, Skydance Television was reported for the development of a Tv series referencing to Isaac Asimov’s science fiction Foundation book series. Accompanied by David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman as the production writers.
In 2018, apple had bought the series and helped with its development. With producers such as foyer, David Ellison and Dana Goldberg, also mercy ross, Foundation has received quite a lot of support. Apple gave the production order for the first season that consisted of ten episodes on 23rd august 2018.

As per Screen Ireland, 500+ production jobs are expected to be created by the help of the series. Troy Studios of Limerick, Ireland, is going to host the production of “foundation”

Jared Harris playing Hari Seldon, Lee Pace as Brother Day who is the Emperor of the Galaxy, Lou Llobell as Gaal Dornick who is a mathematical expert, Leah Harvey playing Salvor Hardin, Laura Birn as Eto Demerzel, Cassian Bilton acting as Brother Dawn who is the youngest living member of the family, Terrence Mann playing Brother Dusk – who is the oldest living member of the ruling family.

Release Dates for the series – “foundation”

Apple had released a teaser trailer for “foundation”, season one, and had announced its premiere in the year 2021. All this was done on the 22nd of June 2020, being part of the worldwide developer’s conference.
