Apple’s ‘Fraggle Rock: Rock on‘ series that revived the memories of Fraggle Rock 80’s characters is all prepared to come back on Apple TV+. The short series that got released in April is coming back to rock fans. After this successful experiment, Apple is working on bringing this series on Apple TV+. The series introduced characters like Gobo, Red, and Uncle Dave communicating through Doozertubes. So, new additions in Fraggle Rock: Rock on may be waiting for the fans on Apple TV.
Apple has also acquired exclusive streaming rights of all the 96 episodes of the 1983–87 HBO series. This will be available to the subscribers in 100 countries on Wednesday, May 27.
What to expect from Fraggle Rock Reboot?
Fraggle Rock: Rock On! mini-episodes feature Alanis Morissette, Common, Jason Mraz, Neil Patrick Harris, Ziggy Marley, and Tiffany Haddish. The series focuses on how friendship is taking place during Social Distancing. Fraggles are residing in different parts of the Fraggle Rock caves. They find ways to have fun together with music, special guests. Also, with the help of Doozertubes, devices created by the industrious Doozers.
But no rules of Social Distancing are broken in the filming. Following stay-at-home guidelines, Fraggle Rock: Rock On! is shot on iPhone’s from the homes of the production team and individual artists. This show is produced by The Jim Henson Company. The executive producers of this show are Halle Stanford and John Tartaglia.
This Fraggle Rock Reboot will reunite the original stars – Gobo, Red, Boober, Wembley, Mokey, and Uncle Travelling Matt. Not only this but the very spirit of songs and music will be classic vibed according to Apple.
Though Apple is releasing this series but isn’t calling this a strategy turn. CEO Tim Cook said that ”Apple TV Plus wasn’t about hosting older series or films, specifically saying that’s “not what Apple TV Plus is about.” Cook also said that Apple TV Plus is “about original programming.”
“It doesn’t feel right for Apple to just go out and take a rerun,” Cook said.
Well, it will be good to see how this series will rule fans and gain the attention again of Apple Subscribers.
