Free Guy is an upcoming American comedy drama produced by 20th Century Studios. It features Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds in the job of a bank teller who finds out he is a part of a video game. Perfect role for Reynolds, isn’t it? We’re sure we aren’t the only ones excited to see him on screen again. Especially when he is paired up with Killing Eve star Jodie Comer. What a duo! Free Guy: Plot and Cast

Free Guy is set in the virtual world of Free City, which is based on the games Grand Theft Auto and Fortnite. The male protagonist, Guy, is a non-player character played by Ryan Reynolds, and has the job of a bank teller. He discovers that he exists in a video game and tries to make himself the hero of the game as soon as possible.

This happens because the creators of the game write a certain code into the game, which makes Guy gain self-awareness. The creators were planning to shut down the game when Guy finds out about it. He undertakes a mission to save the game before this can happen. This movie runs along a similar plot line with Wreck-It Ralph which makes it very exciting to wait for!

The cast consists of Ryan Reynolds as Guy; Jodie Comer as Milly/Molotov Girl; Joe Keery as Keys; Lil Rel Howery as Buddy; Utkarsh Ambudkar as Mouser; Taika Waititi as Antoine; and Camille Kostek as Beauty.

Free Guy was originally to be released on July 3, 2020 but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is produced by both 20th Century Fox and Disney Studios, but will not be released under the Disney label. It will now be released on December 11, 2020 in the United States.
