¡García! Is an upcoming Spanish television series and is based on the graphic novel by Santiago García and Luis Bustos. The series is created by Sara Antuña and Carlos de Pando for HBO Max and written by Sara Antuna and Carlos de Pando.

Eugenio Mira will direct all the six episodes. Miguel Salvat, Steve Matthews and Antony Root are the executive producers of the show. The show is produced by Zeta Studios and Garcia La Serie, S.L., and distributed by WarnerMedia.

¡García! Plot and Cast

Set in a version of current-day Spain on the verge of societal collapse, the fiction follows Antonia, a reporter who accidentally unravels a decades-old plot concerning a super-agent created in the 1950s by the Francoist secret services, García, who was subsequently cryogenic. The latter, defrosted by Antonia, finds himself disoriented and confused in current-day Spain.

Now coming to the cast, it includes Francisco Ortiz as García, Veki Velilla as Antonia, Daniel Freire, Francisco Reyes, and Emilio Gutiérrez Caba. We will also get to see Silvia Abascal, Lola Herrera, Nico Romero, Helio Pedregal, Mario Pardo, and Miki Molina.

¡García! Release Date

HBO Max has released a teaser video in October 2021 and the series is expected to release by the end of 2022. It will consist of six episodes with a runtime of 60 minutes each.
