Gentefied is a bilingual family drama that primarily revolves around three cousins and immigration. The Spanglish Latinx drama attracted viewers with its charming storyline and a fantastic setup. That’s what made Netflix immediately order a new season. Gentefied is a Netflix original. Each episode is for a duration of approximately, half an hour.

While the creators Marvin Lemus and Linda Yvette Chavez return to the next big creation, the majority of the stars will also give a surprising return in the new season. The show also deals with Mama Fina, a restaurant owned and managed by their grandfather. Season 2 will fix all the cliffhangers left behind by the previous and first season. The show will provide answers to questions like What happens to Mama Fina? What is the fate of Pop, who never turned up at any court after a hefty sum was charged on him as fine? What is the Morales family’s attitude towards the new entry- the baby of their daughter?

The next season will not only return with answers but also lay a tight foundation for the upcoming seasons on Netflix. The show injects humor into the serious issues that rupture their society. It hilariously enlightens us with social stereotyping, gender bias, racial discrimination, and economics. The entire show is based on the digital series of the same name dating back to 2017.

Season 1 had ten episodes in total. But the new season will have only eight episodes. The show takes us to the beautiful city of Los Angeles. But as per speculative records, we find that the series will be available to watch on Netflix from next year onwards. The ongoing pandemic has halted the production and anytime soon, the team can resume the work. Recently, we received a piece of news stating that the cast of Gentefied is going to reunite. We know the purpose behind. The cast will participate in a virtual table read for promotion of the new season as well as for holding boards of Proyecto Pastoral, a non-profit organization working for families with low income. The organization also stressed the impact of Covid-19 on their livelihoods in the Boyle Heights Community. They will attend the table read session on the Youtube channel- Netflix is a Joke. Comedian George Lopez will host the show.
