Get Even Season 1: Everything you need to know!

Get Even Season 1 by Holly Phillips is an adaptation of the book series Don’t Get Mad by Gretchen McNeil. It is a British Teen Thriller show which premiered on BBC iplayer on 14th February 2020 available to American viewers only. Later on, it was procured by Netflix and was accessible internationally from the 31st of July. Get Even is a gripping and well-woven thriller along with the basics of teenage scenario- Teen love stories and love triangles and basic emotions of teenagers are well portrayed. There are so many twists and turns and suspects that one would expect from a sound thriller that the audience is kept contemplating as to what happens next.

Fans over social media are demanding a Season 2 of the series but Netflix has not yet announced it’s renewal. But the book has a second part”Get Dirty” so we can expect a second season around mid-2021 if the COVID 19 situation improves.

Plot of Get Even Season 1:

The mystery takes up the central part of the plot and orbits around the lives of four high school girls Kitty, Bree, Margot, and Olivia who come from different environments. Set in the premise of the school grounds of Bannerman, these girls join hands to fight injustice, exposing the bullies who get away easily. They form a secret group called “Don’t Get Mad”. After a boy is murdered and the four girls are framed for it, they embark on a journey to find out who knows about their anonymous club and also try to solve the murder mystery. In the process, they discover a lot of secrets and lies.

The season 1 of Get Even comprises of ten episodes. The runtime of each episode is around 24-27 minutes. Each episode unfolding a new mystery, a new clue or a new suspect.

The cast of the show is praiseworthy. Kim Adis Kitty Wei, Mia McKenna Bruce as Bree Deringer, Bethany Antonia as Margot Rivers, Jessica Alexander as Olivia Hayes. Joe Flynn as Ronny Kent, Emily Carey as Mika Cavanaugh, Kit Clarke as Logan, Jake Dunn as Christopher Beeman. Joe Ashman as Rex, Ayumi Spyrides as Camilla, Priya Blackburn as Meera, Joelle Bromidge as Jemima, Razan Nassar as Amber.
