Ghost Bride Season 2: Release Date, Trailer and Trivia!

Netflix’s original Ghost Bride premiered on our tv screens in January of 2020. The show is based on a novel of the same name written by Yangsze Choo. The theme of Ghost Bride is the supernatural and drama genre. The reason that this show has gained popularity is because of the combination of these two genres.

The show also has a romantic and dramatic twist to it. So while we get to see supernatural entities we also get to enjoy a dystopian paradigm as well. As the show based on a book has lived up to the expectations of its reader audience!

Release Date and Trailer for the show

So far the show has only released one season. Season one consists of six episodes. Each episode has a run time of 60 minutes give or take. The episodes were released in a bulk on 23rd January 2020.

Netflix has yet to announce the renewal of the show for season two. However,  the reviews of season one have been promising so it is naturally assumed that Netflix will be renewing it for season two.

The official release date for season two has not been confirmed yet. With the date not confirmed, there is no official trailer for season two. Below attached is the trailer for season one, which you can watch on Netflix!

The cast of the show

Since the show is based in China, the cast mainly comprises of actors of the same ethnicity! Huang Peijia, Wu Kang Ren, Ludi Lin, Tian Tze Kuang, and Janet Hsieh. All these talented actors gave us the real taste of Chinese culture.

The plot of the show

The book and the show are based in the 1980s in a small Chinese locality. The show mainly follows the life of a young girl who is made to marry a dead boy. This dead boy is a ghost and thus his wife, the young girl inherits the title of the Ghost Bride. We also get to see the grave danger her family is put in due to this matrimony. The appearances of supernatural entities keep us viewers alert and excited for more!
