The fans of Glee faced panic on 11 June 2020 because the musical drama was unavailable for streaming on Netflix in the US, the users were unable to watch any episode of the show as it disappeared for a good seven minutes. The upset fans expressed their disappointments on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram, with many questions of asking what just happened. The glitch was resolved quickly but within that seven minutes Twitter was storming with plenty of complaints and disappointments from the Gleeks, the fans of Glee are known as Gleeks.

A lot of them was frustrated because the show just disappeared while they were watching it without any warning that Glee will leave Netflix. The global streaming platform, Netflix always announces beforehand if any show or movie is leaving the platform, or if they are adding any new title to their vast collection.
One of the fans wrote on Twitter, ‘Glee was just taken off Netflix while I was mid-episode. Goodbye cruel world I cannot take it anymore.” People started to say that they will boycott Netflix if they don’t bring Glee again as another one of them said, ‘Alright so I’m never using Netflix again as a way to boycott since they took glee off’.
Meanwhile others noticed that Ryan Murphy, the creator of the show deleted few posts from his official Instagram account that hinted a Glee reunion, which drew a connection between the sudden disappearance of Glee from Netflix and Ryan’s social media deleted post.
The Gleeks went crazy over Ryan’s social media scrub and one of them wrote, ‘wait, wait… Ryan Murphy deleted the Glee reboot posts AND Glee is taken off Netflix for like 7 minutes… all in same day?’ While other added their own theory about all this situation, ‘Ryan Murphy be like ill contact Netflix and make them remove Glee to see Just how much all of you ain’t want that reboot.’
While the people in the US were disappointed with the disappearance of Glee from Netflix, another show temporarily leave Netflix in the UK which is Money Heist on 11 June 2020 without any announcement. The viewers tried to search for the show, but they met with an error message.
Netflix did not acknowledge the temporary removal of shows like Glee, Money Heist, Anne with an E, Narcos and Fargo in different parts of the world. People started expressing their disappointment on Twitter and are eagerly waiting for Netflix to tell them why this is happening.
