God of War is an action-thriller game franchise created at Sony’s Santa Monica Studio. Santa Monica has mainly developed all the main entries of the game. The games of this series were lauded with some of the best action games of all time. The series of games has also won many awards including Game of The Year for 2005 and 2018 installments.
The series began with PlayStation 2 decades ago and launched its new entry, God of War PS4 last year. After the time of PlayStation 2, God of War has cemented itself as one of the most popular Sony exclusives.
Since God of War was published for PS4, Santa Monica has posted job listings that indicate a new game is in the works.

The fifth (latest) entry for the game has not been yet announced either by Santa Monica or by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The most recent update of God of War took five years to produce, so keeping that in mind, audiences should expect that it may hit the stores in a year or two.
The plot of God of War 5
The new episode of God of War departed from Greek mythology and is based on Northern mythology. Although nothing formal has been revealed, there is a lot of that can be derived from what has been announced so far about the future of God of War series.
There might be a confrontation between father and son which may somehow lead to Ragnarok, referred to God as the theme of PS4 and War? Or will they try to find a way to work together, merging their strength to combat any dangers that come their way?
Whatever happens, we can be confident that there will be new enemies to conquer, new fighting tactics to learn, and a huge, pounding Daddy’s heart at the core of it. Barlog even claimed that he had lots of plans to push the plot forward. And coming up with a new story would not be that complicated, either.
