Crackle, a free streaming service has revealed that Season 2 of its original series Going from Broke has begun development. New episodes will premiere exclusively on Crackle in May 2021.

Going From Broke is an unscripted series that focuses on a massive financial crisis. A total of $1.7 trillion in student debt has been accumulated by over 44 million Americans.

Going From Broke Season 2 exacerbates the previous year’s issues: COVID-19, record unemployment, and a world on the verge of emotional and financial collapse. This series aims to help people overcome their financial hardships and take control of their own lives.

The series follows six new cast members who are drowning in debt and seek assistance from inspiring guests and financial experts in order to solve their financial difficulties. During the six-week production period, Crackle will shoot and air episodes in “real-time,” allowing viewers to follow along with the cast as they struggle with debt during the pandemic.

The Inspirational guests

Executive producer Ashton Kutcher, Airbnb co-founder, and CEO Brian Chesky, co-founder of Resy, actor David Costabile (Lincoln, Billions, Breaking Bad), Empathy Wines and VaynerX Gary Vaynerchuk, the founder of The Scholarship System Jocelyn Paonita Pearson, and award-winning entrepreneur, investor, and bestselling author Kim Perell, Andi Kirkegaard of Kirkie Cookies.

“Season two of Going From Broke dives deep into the nationwide student debt crisis, and audiences will see firsthand how the financial experts and inspirational guests offer helpful solutions for those who struggle with financial burdens,” said Jeff Meier, head of programming for Crackle Plus. “Crackle is the perfect place to reach viewers who may also be struggling with debt since it’s completely free and available to stream on any device.”

The Scholarship System was established by Jocelyn Paonita Pearson. Season one of Going From Broke is currently available on Crackle for free and has over 18 million views. Flicker Filmworks is in charge of Going From Broke Season Two. Visit GoingFromBroke.info and use #GoingFromBroke to learn more about the show and track the cast’s journey.

In a press release, Kutcher said, “This awesome production model brings viewers inside the transformation process.
