Goosebumps: Live Action Series is under way!
Scholastic Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television are joining hands in bringing your favorite and popular childhood horror book ‘Goosebumps’ by R.L Stine, into live-action series along with the producer, Neal H Moritz who worked on 2015’s Goosebumps, and also in the sequel of the movie in 2018, titled, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, as the executive producer.
Goosebump has been the popular source of entertainment for kids, and families for nearly 30 years now. Published by Scholastic Entertainment, Goosebumps was one of the best-selling books with over 350 million books printed in English and new editions in 32 International languages. The Goosebumps books are second best-selling book series in history after the Harry Potter series, and also have been adapted into comics and video games. The original live-action hit TV series Goosebumps was number one in the 1990s and ran for five seasons. The series was about kids finding in strange and unusual situations that basically involved supernatural. The original series is available for the fans on the streaming application which are Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, iTunes, Google Play and Vudu.
Iole Lucchese, the president of Scholastic Entertainment is very excited about this project and is looking forward to giving new adventures to the fans to have them more goosebumps. ‘I loved making ‘Goosebumps’ movies and can’t wait to bring even more of R.L Stine’s incredible stories to life through a high-end TV series that speaks both to adults and children alike’, said Moritz, the executive producer in a statement about the live-action series of Goosebumps.
The details about the cast, plot, and release date of the new live-action series of Goosebumps are not known yet. Also, where it will be released is also not revealed. Well, it will be a highly anticipated series as soon as the production begins.
