Developed by Joshua Safran, Gossip Girl is a teen drama created for HBO Max. It is an extension and standalone sequel to The CW television series of the same name.

Joshua is also the executive producer of the show alongside Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Kristen Bell reprised her role as the narrator from the original series and even though it has received mixed reviews, the show has been renewed for another season which is scheduled to premiere soon.

Gossip Girl Plot and Cast

The ending of Season 1 left several unresolved storylines that might be seen in the upcoming season. Audrey, Aki and Max decide to become a triad couple, where they would date each other equally.

Zoya started making her own circle of friends outside Julien and the the latter moved in with her and Nick after the sexual assault allegations against her father, Davis. Monet was fed up of Julien for not listening to her advice and decided to go up against her as the school’s ‘it’ girl.

Talking about the cast, we should get to see Jordan Alexander, Whitney Peak, Tavi Gevinson, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Emily Alyn Lind in the lead roles. There is a possibility that Evan Mock, Jonathan Fernandez, Adam Chanler-Berat, Zion Moreno, Savannah Lee Smith, Jason Gotay, Todd Almond and Laura Benanti might reprise their roles.

Gossip Girl Season 2 Release Date

Gossip Girl was renewed for another season back in September 2021 and there have been online discussions on when the new season would premiere. Since there are no reports related to the beginning of filming, we might get to see Season 2 by 2023.

The new season is expected to have 12 episodes like Season 1 and the rest shall be revealed once it premieres on HBO Max.
