Gotham Knights: Release Date, Trailer, and more!

Created by James Stoteraux, Natalie Abrams and Chad Fiveash, Gotham Knights is an upcoming American superhero television series produced for The CW. The series centres on DC Comics characters, with the premise inspired by the Batman: Gotham Knights comic series, featuring members and supporting roles of the Batman family.

Abrams, Stoteraux, and Fiveash also serve as executive producers with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden through Berlanti Productions. In December 2021, it was reported that a television series adaptation was in development at The CW. In February 2022, The CW ordered a pilot episode to evaluate. In May 2022, The CW picked up Gotham Knights to series.

Gotham Knights Plot and Cast

While not much about the Gotham Knights’ plot has been revealed, we know that the story will revolve around the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s death. A group of eclectic individuals gets wrongly framed for Wayne’s murder. In the hope of clearing their names, they are joined by Bruce Wayne’s adopted and rebellious son, who forms an unlikely alliance with the wrongly accused group for killing his father.

With Batman dead, Gotham City descends into the most dangerous it has ever been, allowing villains to take advantage of it and cause a ruckus throughout the city. So, this group takes it as their responsibility to keep the city safe by taking Batman’s place.

The main cast for Gotham Knights includes Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown and Rahart Adams as Brody.

Gotham Knights Release Date

Gotham Knights are still in the early stages of the development process. Principal photography was scheduled to begin in April 2022. The CW is yet to reveal an official release date for the pilot episode.

Assuming everything starts on time and the project is green-lit to be turned into a series, we can safely assume that Gotham Knights should hit The CW network by the end of 2022 or first half of 2023.
