Green Eggs and Ham is an American animated comedy adventure streaming television series loosely based on the 1960 Dr. Seuss book of the same title. It premiered on November 8, 2019 on Netflix. The series has received critical acclaim for its animation, humor, story and voice acting.

What is the show about?

Sam-I-Am rescues the rare Chickeraffe from a zoo, saying that he intends to return it to its natural habitat. After he accidentally swaps his briefcase, containing the Chickeraffe, for that of failed inventor Guy-Am-I (the unnamed character in the original book), Sam and Guy end up on an road trip adventure with E.B., a girl who wants to adopt the Chickeraffe as a pet, and E.B.’s overprotective mother Michellee, who is also a romantic interest for Guy. The four are pursued by a wealthy, arrogant poacher and collector, Snerz, who wants to claim the Chickeraffe (named Mr. Jenkins by E.B.) as a trophy; two mysterious “B.A.D.G.U.Y.S.” named McWinkle and Gluntz; and Snerz’s bounty hunter Goat (as in the goat that rhymed with “boat” in the book).

Is the show coming back with its second season?

The answer is ‘Yes!’. We will soon be having a second season of Green Eggs and Ham. In December 2019, Netflix renewed the series for a second season which will be titled Green Eggs and Ham: The Second Serving. Stay tuned for the latest updates!

The show is narrated by Keegan-Michael Key. We have Michael Douglas as Guy Am I, Adam DeVine as Sam I Am, and Eddie Izzard as Mr. Hervnick Z. Snerz. Also, we have Rob Paulsen voices Little Snerz, Jeffrey Wright as McWinkle, Jillian Bell as Gluntz, and Diane Keaton as Michellee. We have Ilana Glazer as Elanabeth (E.B.), John Turturro as Goat, and Dee Bradley Baker as Mr. Jenkins (credited as “Chickeraffe”). Also, we have Fred Tatasciore as Yes-Man, Tracy Morgan as Michael (credited as “Fox”), and Daveed Diggs as Squeaky (credited as “Mouse”). Billy Eichner as Mr. Bigman, David Kaye, Nika Futterman, Rob Paulsen as Pool Shark, and many other characters will be there on the show!
