Greenland: Plot and Cast
The movie features a family trying to escape to Greenland in order to protect themselves from the fragments of a comet. The comet, named Clarke, was supposed to go around the Earth but ends up changing direction. It is now expected to hit Earth in a few days and will destroy everything for good.
Many people try to hoard items and loot stores, which makes John Garrity, the main protagonist, and his family scared for survival. They attempt to escape to a bunker on the island and has a lot of thrilling moments on the way.
There are also some real moments in the movie, where the dynamics of the Garrity family are presented in the time of a crisis. John reconnects with his estranged wife Allison and their son Nathan through this deadly adventure.
John Garrity is played by Gerard Butler, whose movie credits include Olympus Has Fallen series and Dracula. Deadpool star Morena Baccharin plays Allison Garrity, his wife.
Other cast members include David Denman and Hope Davis as Ralph and Judy Vento respectively. Holt McCallany plays Tom and Scott Glenn plays Dale.
Greenland: Release Date and Trailer
The movie was originally supposed to premiere in June 2020 but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It first premiered in Belgium on July 29, 2020, and will be released in the United States on September 25, 2020.
