Grounded is a forthcoming survival game released by Xbox Game Studios through, created by Obsidian Entertainment. This is expected to be released as an early access title for Windows and Xbox One on 28 July 2020. Throughout the game, the character of the player has been reduced to the size of an ant and must fight to live in a dangerous backyard.
Upon their inclusion in the Xbox Game Studios family and the success of the RPG smash Outer Worlds, Obsidian Entertainment soon went on to their next project: Grounded. The exclusive Xbox and PC, Grounded looks like it might be a survival game.
Grounded was revealed at XO19 where Microsoft shocked everyone for their consoles with a large roster of upcoming titles. The announcement came with an official reveal trailer, which showed some of the game’s gameplay focused on survival.
Release Date
Grounded has yet to obtain an official release date.
Early Access for Grounded will be available from 28 July 2020 from Steam or the Microsoft Store. Bringing the game into an early access phase would allow Obsidian to collect feedback and find vulnerabilities from the gameplay.
Gameplay
Built by Obsidian Entertainment, Grounded delivers a special, eccentric experience you can not find elsewhere. Instead of rising increasingly bigger and higher, Grounded attempts to make the dull and boring fun again.
Although Grounded has a cooperative mode that allows up to four players, you can also enjoy a solo match. As a survival game, you’re going to gather resources and design supplies while constructing a fortress, all to get yourself back to normal size.

There will be four characters available at the campaign launch. Players will be given the ability to select the skills of their hero – armor-building, agility, and weapon-based combat – that will affect the gameplay during the remainder of the campaign. Players will choose whether to lurk in the dark or take the enemy to the fight.
Obsidian is best known for role-playing games, including the most recent hit, The Outer Worlds, 2019. The plunge into the genre of survival is a bit of a start for the studio.
