David Gordon Green directed the film while Green, Danny McBride and Scott Teems wrote the screenplay. The film is the twelfth movie in the Halloween franchise and is a sequel to the 2018 movie Halloween. What is the movie all about? Is it worth watching? When does it come out? Well, you gotta read more to find out!
Halloween Kills: Plot and Cast
The sequel follows the main protagonist Laurie Strode and her family from the first film. They again confront the psychotic serial killer Michael Myers in this film. Laurie Strode is only survivor from the 1978 Michael Myers killing spree, and thus, he keeps coming after her and her family. She suffers from post-traumaticStart slideshow stress disorder due to this incident.
Michael Myers had been hospitalised at the Smith’s Grove Psychiatric Hospital after his killing spree in 1978. In 2018, he manages to escape due to the interference of some journalists, and returns to Haddonfield where he committed the murders.
Laurie Strode, still remaining in fear of Michael, has distanced herself from her daughter Karen. The state took care of Karen since Laurie is an alcoholic. Even though Karen is all grown up now and has a daughter called Allyson, Laurie still keeps her distance from both.
Michael starts to commit more murders and eventually finds Laurie who shoots him in the shoulder before he flees. When Michael attacks again, and kills some members of her family, Laurie manages to mortally wound him. However, the end credits reveal that he is still alive and is coming back in Halloween Kills for revenge.
Jamie Lee Curtis plays Laurie Strode while James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle plays Michael Myers. Judy Greer plays Karen Nelson, Laurie’s daughter while Andi Matichak plays Allyson Nelson.
