HBO original tv show called Lovecraft Country premiered in the second week of August 2020. The show’s theme is a horror-thriller series. It inspired by the book of the same name written by Matt Ruff. The show is set in 1950’s America. It dwells on many instrumental and revolutionary movements. The theme of the show is to bring about social disparity which affected the black community in the past. The show uses the medium of its script and the horror and dramatic elements to fictionalise the reality which may be hard to digest for some.
The plot of the show:
The show follows the life of a young man. He along with his friends take a road trip. The purpose of this road trip is not to experience fun or adventure but to find his missing father. In the 1950s racist America the trio become vulnerable to not only casteism but also monsters that lurk every corner of the country.
