Written by Alice Oseman, Heartstopper is a British coming-of-age romantic comedy streaming television series on Netflix, the show is adapted from the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman. Oseman is also the executive producer of the show along with Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Euros Lyn, Hakan Kousetta, and Jamie Laurenson.

The first season of the show premiered on 22 April 2022. It received critical acclaim, particularly for its tone and pacing, as well as its representation of the LGBT community. It gained instant popularity, being among the top 10 English series on Netflix in just two days. The show has been already renewed for a second and third season.

Heartstopper Season 3 Release Date

Netflix confirmed they had renewed Heartstopper for two more seasons on 20th May 2022. Since Season 1 premiered in 2022, Season 2 will likely be released in 2023 and considering that Season 3 might arrive by 2024.

The rest of the details about the new season should be revealed in the next few months. The series is produced by See-Saw Films.

Heartstopper Plot and Cast

The makers have not revealed anything about what would happen in Season 3 since Season 2 has not premiered yet. The events of Season 3 will be entirely dependent on how the second season would end.

In Season 1, we very much see the young love and the beginnings of their relationship. We got to explore the side characters of Heartstopper in a lot more depth when there’s not much room for that in the comics. But that was all part of the fun of it. Seasons 2 and 3 would explore more of the world of Heartstopper.
