Hell’s Kitchen Format and Cast
Hell’s Kitchen is a reality television show that uses a progressive elimination format to narrow down a field of 20 to 12 aspiring chefs to one single winner throughout one season. The U.S. version of Hell’s Kitchen follows the same format as the UK version, although the show is aired on tape delay and not performed live, nor is there audience participation in the elimination of chefs, who are also not celebrities as they are in the UK version.
The show is produced at Hell’s Kitchen, a modified warehouse in Los Angeles that includes the restaurant, dual kitchen facilities, and a dormitory where the chefs reside while on the show. They are also given knife sets that they get to keep, regardless of their progress.
Since the 21st season is yet to be released, it is impossible to predict the cast for the 22nd season. Although we can expect that chef Gordon Ramsay will host the show.
Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 Release Date
Fox shared that the first episode of Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 will air at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29. Looking at the previous schedule we can expect the 22nd season to be out in the fall of 2023.
We don’t yet know how many episodes it will take for the winning chef to take home their prize. But “Hell’s Kitchen” Seasons 13 through 20 all aired for 16 episodes, so it’s likely that Season 21 and 22 will be around the same length.
