Directed by Wes Craven, the creator of A Nightmare on Elm Street, the series promises to be a thrill in the horror genre. Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell, gets involved with the murders committed by Ghostface. Ghostface turns out to be not just one murder, but is taken up as a disguise by several murders.

Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers get married at the end of Scream 4 and Gale takes his last name. Gale is a journalist who appears to be an antagonist at first, but later helps Sidney with the murders.
Roger L. Jackson voices Ghostface in all his multiple forms. David Arquette plays Dewey Riley whereas Courteney Cox plays Gale Riley neé Weathers. Matthew Lillard plays Stu Macher and Skeet Ulrich plays Billy Loomis in the first and third instalment. Liev Schreiber appears in the first three instalments as Cotton Weary.
Scream 5: Release Date and Sneak Peak
Scream 5 was originally planned in 2011, but delayed due to several reasons. The death of director Wes Craven delayed it in 2015. Further delay was caused by the trials of Harvey Weinstein on account of sexual harassment and abuse.
Filming was delayed again after being scheduled for May 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, January 14, 2022 is currently set as the release date for the movie by Paramount Pictures.
While Neve Campbell hasn’t signed on for her reprise as Sidney, David Arquette and Courteney Cox have confirmed their roles! We cannot be more excited!
