Created by Tim Federle, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is an American mockumentary musical drama television series, inspired by the High School Musical film series. Federle has served as executive producer of the show along with Oliver Goldstick, Bill Borden, Barry Rosenbush and Tamra Davis.
The first episode of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series was telecast on Disney Channel, ABC, and Freeform on November 8, 2019, The second season premiered on May 14, 2021. The third season premiered on July 27, 2022 and it has been already renewed for a fourth season.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Plot and Cast
Since the third season has not concluded yet, we cannot say anything about what would happen in Season 4. However, it will surely continue from where Season 3 would end.
The third season is set outside of the school year and features the students attending a summer theater camp in California, called Camp Shallow Lake. The campers prepare to stage a production of Frozen, while a documentary series about the musical production is filmed throughout the duration of their rehearsals. Meanwhile, Nini travels to Los Angeles to pursue her music career dreams.
The main cast to return as series regulars for Season 4 include Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, and Frankie Rodriguez. Kate Reinders and Olivia Rose Keegan might also return as recurring cast members.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 4 Release Date
The third season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series premiered on July 27 this year and it would conclude on September 14, 2022. Considering that, Season 4 should release sometime in 2023.
The number of episodes for the upcoming season has not been confirmed since it has been different in the first three. The series is produced by Chorus Boy Salty Pictures and Disney Channel.
