Story
The final game in The World of Assassination trilogy (we highly recommend that you play the previous two titles) is about to drop in January and as the series reaches its dramatic conclusion, IO Interactive has released a brief synopsis of the game: “Hitman 3 is the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy and takes players around the world on a globetrotting adventure to sprawling sandbox locations. Agent 47 returns as a ruthless professional for the most important contracts of his entire career. Supported by his Agency handler, Diana Burnwood, 47 joins forces with his long-lost friend Lucas Grey. Their ultimate mission is to eliminate the partners of Providence, but they are forced to adapt as their hunt intensifies. When the dust settles, 47 and the world he inhabits will never be the same again”
Those familiar with the Hitman franchise are well aware of its action-adventure playstyle with elements of stealth and puzzle-solving. Hitman 3 receives the same gameplay elements as the last two installments in the series.
The latest introductions into the gameplay mechanics involve Agent 47’s new camera device and tons of new weapons that’ll prove handy when assassinating your next target.
Locations have been updated in Hitman 3 with missions taking place in China, Dubai, and Dartmoor. IO Interactive released a short note on the third location: “Hitman 3’s second mission location takes you to a historical part of England known for its grassy meadows, rocky hilltops, winding rivers, and dense wetlands. Dartmoor also has a reputation for myths, legends, and mysteries – and Thornbridge Manor lives up to that!”
Maps, levels, and progress from the previous titles can be transferred to Hitman 3 if you have played them all. But if you enjoyed the multiplayer aspect of Hitman 2 then there is some bad news as it doesn’t make a comeback in Hitman 3 and Sniper Assassin will now be single-player only while Ghost Mode is gone altogether.
Get ready for an assassination laden conclusion to the Hitman trilogy when Hitman 3 hits the shelves on January 21st, 2021!
