Honor 8X Launched; the First device with Kirin 710 and 6.5-inch Display



Honor 8X has finally made an entry into India, this device has now been officially launched in India as Huawei’s sub-brand, the Honor. This smartphone was launched a month in China and now it is available in India too. This device features a dual rear camera setup, glass-back, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Not just this, but the device does come with stereo speakers and also AI capabilities as well.

The Honor 8X sports a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080*2340 pixels. The display does come with a top-notch and also maintains 19:5:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, this is the first ever smartphone to feature a TUV Rheinland certified display, this basically means that the display is safe to look at and has also passed several tests.

The rear side of the device is equipped with a 2.5D glass which again comes in 2 different textures. This is the first ever device to be powered by the Kirin 710 processor which is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Talking about optics, the device comes with a dual 20MP+2MP rear camera set up along with a front 16MP shooter for selfies. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the EMUI’s 8.2 custom skin on top of it.

The entire device is backed by a 3,750 mAh battery. Well, so now talking about the pricing of this device, the 4GB RAM variant along with 64GB of internal storage is priced at Rs.14,999, 6GB RAM coupled with 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs.16,999 and the top end variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at Rs.18,999.

All these variants will go live on sale from 24th October on Amazon India and HiHonor Stores. This time I guess Honor has priced their devices according to the specs offered, but then we need to wait to check the performance of the device when it if officially available.
